A break for the holidays
Politics by The Numbers will be back in the new year
Dear readers,
Thank you all for another wonderful year. America has seen the political impacts of the highest inflation in 40 years, an assault on free elections and democracy itself, a surprisingly contested election, and the most progressive presidency since 1970 (depending, go figure!, on how you count things). , Along the way there has been much data to add informative facts and intriguing commentary. After posting multiple times a week from January through November — and publishing a book! — it is time to take a break, reflect on my work, and ponder the likely events of a new year.
I am, as always, extremely grateful to all of the readers of this newsletter. Yesterday, Politics by the Numbers surpassed 6,000 subscribers. This is not the most-read newsletter on substack.com, but it is a milestone I am happy with and proud of.
