Trump's State of the Union address was largely about crime and immigration. Our poll shows voters wanted to hear less about immigration policy and more about how he's going to bring down prices
I'm curious about the choice of "spending on social security." Social Security is funded by money paid into the system; it is NOT a government handout, as the Republicans like to claim. Social Security has taken a hit in that people working here illegally pay into the system with money deducted from their paychecks, and because they are not citizens, they do not get that money back. That will show up. In that way, immigration directly affects the money in Social Security. The best way to ensure a strong Social Security program Would be the raise the cap from the current $184,5000, which is taxed at 6.2%. Those who earn more should pay more.
Side Note: As a university professor, I never made that much money in a year.
Democrats would do well to clarify that the government does not fund social security. It collects the money, and it distributes the money.

Did Humpty Dumpty talk about falling egg prices? At next year's SOTU, ill duce might show up in a bathrobe & slippers like his role model, Vincent 'the Chin' Gigante. Any mention about those Trumpstein Files in the rebuttal?

Good luck on that campaign to tie deportations and affordability. You'd have to be opposing a mannequin. Almost no voter would believe housing prices won't improve with fewer residents.
& those 2 minutes on affordability? tired retread. Mocking Dems for inventing the word. lying about prices (which anyone who shops, buy gas, pays utility bills know from lived experience are lies). Any initiatives to reduce prices? not that I remember.

So it wasn't really about affordability.
