The best use of polling this week is in gauging the public’s reaction to the CDC’s decision to pause one-dose J&J vaccinations. So far, it has not changed public demand for vaccines or increase overall hesitancy. Two like on this: one and two.
Another important poll found that a broad majority of Americans oppose laws that would prevent transgender athletes from participating in school sports.
Finally, a CBS News poll picked up a big partisan divide on whether Americans would use a time machine to travel to the past or to the future. The results are exactly what you’d expect but not immediately clear as a question to ask to get at the underlying dynamic of nostalgia.
