This week's podcast: Primary polls are basically useless in Texas; Trump just posted his worst-ever numbers on immigration; and voters want Supreme Court term limits by a 50-point margin.
Watched the podcast this morning. I needed to be told to stop parsing the Texas Senate Primary polls - thanks. Affirming your concern about whether issue priority questions are actually tapping into what they are intended to reveal, I began to conclude that Democratic and Republican responses to "concerns about democracy" questions (both groups had high levels of concern) meant completely different things to Republicans (probably election fraud) and Democrats (probably destruction of democratic institutions, defying the Constitution) and because those were simply my guesses based on non-quantitative data, I couldn't even try to guess at the reasons for Independents' concerns (also high). It would be great to see some better questions!
