I somehow missed the post from Friday. Thank you for the deep dive on the polling data.

I was able to find my PUMA - I'm just north of the NC/SC state line, so it is easy for me to find on the map. I'm in a relatively "redder" part of my county but Trump's approval rating is still below the national average and that of NC as a whole - but not nearly as low as other PUMAs in my county.

Our perennial issue is voter turnout! 🙁

Well-deserved. Enjoy.

Nice work on the garden. Literally staying grounded. Wow.

Elliot I’ll say it again. When the second Trump administration began I canceled all of my journalism connectivity. I saw your podcast with Krugman. I thought who is this guy he’s brilliant. I immediately became a page subscriber.

Dirt connectivity is a good metaphor. In the economy of the soul thrift is ruinous. Carry-on Elliott.. warmly Paul

"... plant a little garden. eat a lot of peaches, try to find jesus..." BTW, what's the over/under on the president rising 10 points in the polls after his performance at the WHCD last night?

G. Elliott Morris's avatar

i doubt it will matter at all

Hadn't heard of that 10 point rise. Will be interested to see your account of this later in the week. To me, he deserves a further 10 point erosion for this little caper.

Garden looks great! You’re the gold standard polling guru for me. Keep up the great work!

We're going to be hanging out in the house and watching the first rain we've had since January...

They keep teasing rain for us. Last night it barely dampened the driveway. At least the temps are down. Yesterday it hit 83; today's high is supposed to be 70.

Yes, the temperatures this spring have been whacked. 100 degrees in March?

Get well soon.

Nothing revives the soul so well as spending time digging in the dirt.

Cheers.
