A question I would be really interested in seeing responses to in a future poll:
"Would you support the passage of a constitutional amendment that establishes that the government may regulate and restrict political spending in elections?"
Not sure of how best to phrase it — could also use language like "reverse the 'Citizens United' decision" or "reduce the role of 'dark money' in funding political candidates" or something along those lines.
Great work! I’m wondering if there is any data on how people who couldn’t vote in 2024 may be likely to vote in 2026 or even 2028. My youngest is now registered to vote for the first time and I’m curious about his demographic.
I am not surprised by the public perception of Trump as more mentally competent than Biden. He is all about image and zilch on substance, so all that time and effort, along with greedy sycophants, allows him to, in the words of Nixon, "fool some of the people all of the time."
Who are the undecideds? If I remember correctly (??) late in 2024 there was a poll out of Iowa. The poll showed Democrats had a chance of winning the state but there was about 9% undecided or didn’t respond. After the election it looked like the undecideds were really Trump/GOP voters that were reluctant to admit to it
The poll was conducted by a well respected pollster at the time
