I wonder what this looks like in the run up to the 2022 midterms, and now it compares to this year?

I just hope that Fetterman's vote doesn't become significant, and Collins really does need to go. However, the Democrats seem to have a talent for own goals

Thanks for maintaining the archive. In order to Nuremberg these horrible people, we’ll need them.

Never forget. Keep records. Nuremberg them all.

I believe that ICE and Iran are the top stories of the mainstream media. But these are not the policies, world events, and unaddressed issues most likely to affect life and Americans. It is appalling and shocking that the DC press don't see the chasm between their ledes and reality. I wish I knew how to shift the titanic of mainstream media culture from its position on the bottom to reality. The policies, events, and unresolved issues facing us today are 1. global warming, 2. fossil fuel burning and policies promoting fossil fuels and destroying climate protections, 3. unbound neoliberal capitalism and resultant global inequality, 4. Putin's capture of the United States government, 5. Chinese, Russian, and Iranian cyber-infiltration of the US grid.

Please add Trump's attempts to control and destroy our democracy as Number 1?

Sounds like a survey connecting reader responses to journalistic political stimuli -- including the government-sponsored ad you commented on elsewhere needs to be in the offing. BTW, I was so shocked by the ad that I thought it might have been a left-sponsored propaganda piece the first time I saw it.

Great work. I believe you have the basis here for measuring the effectiveness of truth telling and propaganda on public sentiment/opinion. This can be accomplished using databases such as your headline database, and your public opinion polling in time series.

How much do we know about the extent to which news coverage affects voter sentiment and intention?
