This week in political data: Epstein and Trump, NPR, and the missing 2020 Biden voters. + for the first time in his second term, Trump has a lower approval rating on deportations than on the economy.
That people are still waiting to vote in 2026 as the act that changes what's happening all across America and the globe is pathetic. Americans are so comfortable with their lives, even the miserable ones, that they'll sit out critical elections and not do anything but sit around and complain when fascism shows up on their doorsteps.
Obama got comprehensive immigration reform through the Senate with 15 GOP votes. Boehner didn't take it up because it violated the Hastert "rule" the GOP imposes upon itself.
The Hastert "rule "adopted by the GOP is that no bill will be brought onto the floor unless it has majority GOP support.
Hastert is a sex abuser, and in prison.
Curious, what has Trump done in effectuating Comprehensive immigration reform?
Nothing.
Your point is useless and erroneous, once context is established.
The fact that you had to resort to a sex abuse side-show proves the weakness of your argument. Facts are facts no matter how you smear them with slander.
“The most popular policy proposals for these voters is expanding affordable health insurance, increasing taxes on the super-wealthy, and getting rid of junk fees. (Should be easy to message on for 2026!)”
Of course, all of this happened under Biden. As you say, deliverism is dead. Today, it’s the size of the stick doesn’t matter as long as you talk loudly.
A key factor here, of course, is the success----whatever one may think of it----in closing the border to near zero. The GOP, for now, has won the battle on border security. Democrats should admit that and embrace it WHILW fighting mass deportation of people already within the county. But one can't, as you have done, just IGNORE the fact that more or less successfully closing the border has enabled an increasing number of Americans to turn against mass deportation. It hasn't occurred within a vacuum. Very important to remember that and point it out.
Democrats moved forward bipartisan legislation that included major concessions to Republicans on immigration, and Trump and the Republicans tanked it. The Republicans also paid zero price for it and continue to blame any immigration issues on Democrats. We need to disrupt their narrative.
Generally agree BUT it is clear (to me, at least) that a majority of Americans support enhanced border security. Once that it is addressed, it is easier to fight back on other fronts as I see it. There are no points for lax border security.

Yes! Thank you scholars for clarifying American's distaste for cruelty.
Deportations:
George W. Bush - 10.3 million, 0 citizen videos
Bill Clinton - 12.3 million, - 0 citizen videos
Barack Obama - 5.3 million - 0 citizen videos
Donald Trump – 500,000 – hundreds of outrage videos

What I stated is a fact(s).
Maybe learn to read English properly, before opening your shit filled facial orifice.

Yes, I wonder how useful that insight will be for strategists when the overall issue for all voters in 2024 was also inflation.
