I think the key to the difference between 22/23 and is that over 30% of the country believes what fox and our golden leader tell them. When the cult said things were horrible in 22/23 that set 30% of the sentiment to negative. Now that 30% believe this is just a little (mostly felt by Those People) and everything will be wonderful soon.

I think the critical coverage of tariffs from NYT, CNN, WSJ the last couple days is a good sign that Trump's approval is in trouble. They're as good a proxy for 'legacy media appetite to criticize the admin' as any other.

Great piece. For your "formula" with the deltas, I'm wondering if you are drawing a distinction between "inflation" and "inflation *expectations*" (which you discuss just above).
