Elliott: I’m a paid subscriber to four Substacks, all for different reasons. Yours was my last purchase—and my most expensive one—but I feel like I’ve gotten great value for my investment. I spent a lot of my professional career either helping to generate opinion research data or (more commonly)helping people to interpret it properly, mostly in the health care space. These days I’m working to better understand our national political/policy situation at a strategic level, and I feel much better equipped to do so when I’ve the benefit of your insights. I’m most definitely not a political professional—I think the label “policy wonk” better fits me but your stuff is still of great value. Thanks for all that you’ve done and keep up the great work over the next year.
Thank you for a year of data-driven sanity in the expanding sea of crap reporting elsewhere. I needed this.
Advice: make time for the new baby. No one who has ever loved their children will be judgy about you taking time to be with the baby and mom. It is THE most important priority now.
Congratulations on a successful first year, and thanks for all that you do to provide useful, fact- and evidence-based information to a broad audience. Here’s to the continued success of your business (and your family)!
Congratulations on all the gpod news and best wishes for the new ventures. Your work is informative and stimulates good questions, as the comments and responses show. Thank you.
Did I ever tell you about the subscriber who accused me of creating an alt account on Substack just to have this fun back-and-forth with in the comments? Appreciate your support over the years.
I think you might have mentioned it before. LOL! My Twitter account has been around since 2010 and I read and follow a lot of people who work or have worked for the Economist.
Thanks to all of us for making SIN profitable enough to support not just Elliott and his wife, but an entire Morris family. Let's just not make it so profitable that Peter Thiel makes Elliott an offer to buy it that he can't refuse!
Congrats on a great first year of SIN AND on the coming baby!!! Lots for you and your family to celebrate.
As to SIN, I have to say it has FAR exceeded my expectations, so thank you for that. Will continue to encourage friends to subscribe; it's the best deal in town for clear-eyed, data-driven political analysis.

Congrats to you and your wife--how exciting! Aaron Parnas and his wife just had their first child as well. Just enjoy this very special time!
