With everything happening, it took me a while to listen to this interview with two of my favorite sources of data-driven information and news.
The comments on how Dems should use polling was the most salient for me...and reminded me of another incredible voice of truth, Anat Shenker-Osorio talking about the obvious failure of "bringing a survey to a gun fight."
The Dems need to recognize that as the Repubs intentionally "flood the zone with sh*t" as a strategy, that their counter is to recognize they CAN be talking about everything, everywhere, all at once; they just need to connect the dots for voters.
The murders, kidnapping and attacks on Venezuelans (whether the target is a fisherman or the President), is all to take over another country's oil and mineral rights to serve to private corporate interests, and to distract us from their failures and pedophilia.
The murders, kidnappings, and attacks on our neighbors (whether they are here without documentation, in the process of securing documentation, or are the sons and daughters of those who originally came here with none), is all to distract and divide us with fear and hatred, so they can funnel billions to for profit-concentration camps and the army of corporations profiting from ICE's malicious and violent operations.
The deaths and suffering of everyone who has lost access to food, medicines, healthcare, clean water and air, or emergency services because of their cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, the VA, the EPA, FEMA or all the other agencies that our tax dollars fund to protect us, are all so they can give ANOTHER massive $1.1 trillion tax giveaway to a white, wealthy, well-connected few—all so they don't have to pay what they owe or be held accountable for their price-gouging, wage thieving, and heat-trapping pollution that's costing us our families, freedoms, and futures. The racism, nativism, misogyny, LGBTQ-hatred and cruelty is to distract and divide us, as they unravel democracy to bring on a new fascist state.
Today is a perfect day to enjoy a discussion on Trump's bad polling! We didn't get much snow, but the wind chill makes it feel like it's MINUS 20 outside. We're not going anywhere!
Have you written at all on issue polling versus actual votes in an election? Seems that it might make sense to make more of issue polling if it is purely swing voters who are the ones swinging but doesn't apply if survey takers within one's base are among those that have turned on this issue (because they will come home on election day).
