As the words communism and socialism rise in frequency of appearance in the media, I’d like to see some data on how people define those terms. Possibly alongside their definition of democracy. Then we could throw in the term democratic socialism. Of course I’ve learned that what people say they believe and then how they behave are not necessarily correlated, but I would find it Interesting to see how the terms are defined. It might also be interesting to list some services provided by our government and see whether people think they are examples of democracy, socialism, and/or communism. I’m thinking of things like roads, firefighters, zoning laws, airports, schools, etc. And thanks for your amazing and wonderful work!
This past presidential election found Liz Cheney helping voters understand what was happening as she worked with Jack Smith. The convention found NO highly regarded gop leaders but a line of family supporters in attendance, as if a new monarchy was on the horizon. Many new independents voted for the candidate, the person best reflecting their values. Sarah Longwell recently spoke with Jeff Flake at the Aspen affair where he plainly spoke about character, country over party, & voting for Dems. Democratic backsliding is blatant; ICE is killing people again & NYT journalists have been subpoenaed. This is NOT your father’s gop. How many republicans remain? This is NOT a conservative adm , nor exactly aligned with business …what happened with intel? They took venez. & Tim Miller reported on some new freedom fuel . ?Propaganda? Congrats on fam. Keep up the good work !
Agree with Ira Lechner. One of the best ways to attract money in politics is to 1) increase visibility and 2) to provide hard data to show donors. Thanks for this great account.
Elliott, please focus separately say once a month for the next four exclusively on 8 or so key Senate races? I’m finding increasing interest in winning the Senate but a broad ignorance in sound polling? Thanks as your data will encourage more direct funding of those races.
